I am willing to admit that not only have we not surpassed Texas in Texas, but we aren't even close. With that said, I don't understand how the fact that we have improved our lot exposure-wise is up for debate.

A&M has definitely increased their exposure, no doubt.

We wanted the eyeballs in Texas and we are happy about gaining some. TV contract alone was worth as we all get paid whether anyone in Texas actually watches or not thanks to cable TV subscriber fees for SEC Network.

I live way outside SEC territory and it is wonderful having just about every game nationally televised on CBS, ESPN or SECN. Other conferences get largely regional coverage on at least one level (thanks to ABC). I've never had to suffer with regional coverage for the top tier games. CBS has locked down the best TV time in the history of ever and the prime time games on ESPN are also a great draw. Other conferences often play either too damn early in the day or too late at night. The SEC completely dominates from 3:30 Eastern on.
