I'll grant I was inserting a bit of unnecessary trolling there for the benefit of a particularly annoying FSU poster (not the one who replied to me, though that response was illuminating.) So I get your point. But the FSU clusterfrick is still infuriating enough that if Jimbo was hired at Vandy, I'd literally stop watching games or supporting the VAA. So there was a modicum of sincere disdain for how FSU handled the situation as opposed to how Vandy (in this case) did. And the FSU fan's response is exactly what's wrong with the treatment of victims in college-level athletics. At least in the pros, there's a significantly greater population diversity and less insularity at the city level than at the college campus level. That mitigates the issue somewhat. Winston, otoh, was given practically a free pass on everything he did. Why shouldn't he believe that extended to rape too?

I agree with you and understand why you did it now (had no idea it was for the benefit of a troll), I just wish it wasn't a first page kinda thing if that makes sense. I hope it came across in the spirit it was intended which wasn't to bust your balls but just state my opinion and critique in a reasonable manner. Also, his response was fricking disgusting.

Regardless of Winston's guilt or innocence, FSU committed a MASSIVE coverup in every respect from football to TPD. They absolutely prevented a legitimate investigation and that was clear from the public documents released. It was one of the most transparent ones I've ever seen and TBH I hope the feds investigating them under Title IX nail them to the wall. There's no excuse for how football and their campus PD worked together to thwart the investigation. TPD needs a federal review as well, possibly for corruption although with how they did it (discouragement, letting it dwindle and hoping it would die, etc), would be hard as hell to prove. BUT I wouldn't be surprised if there weren't more there. Of course that won't happen.

I'm not even a Titans fan (or a fan of any pro team, fwiw, unless you count super-casual) but if they draft Winston I'm gonna be sick. I don't want him in our state.

Oh, not a problem. I was trolling, and turning a very important issue into a "my place is better than yours" was pretty damned inappropriate, all things considered. So I got your point perfectly.
