Cocks
vs Texas A&M, looking like a win It was easy down the stretch. We had too much talent inside the paint for them, and dominated scoring there
vs Alabama should be a win Should be a route: we scored 102 against the Tide earlier this season, and that game was on their court. Tomorrow will be in Columbia
@ Ole Miss, win expected but Rebs are putting it together and it is in Oxford The Rebs have played nobody out of conference: they came into the SEC slate 10-3 on the season, and have gone 4-3 against conf. rivals. They play @ LSU tomorrow, and it wouldn't surprise me if they host USC with a 4-4 SEC record
@ Georgia, possible struggle as Dawgs are solid and probably beat Vols @ Knoxville if not for high foul disparity This has been a tightly contested game every year mostly regardless of whether UGA has been good or USC has been good. I expect it to be another barn-burner, but UGA ain't played a USC team like this one in a long long while
@ Uconn

Huskies
vs East Carolina = W
@ Temple = W
vs Cincinnati = W
@ Memphis = W
vs South Carolina

I also forgot that UGA lost their leading scorer for the season to a bad injury. Hope she recovers soon, but that could be a sizable blow to UGA's chances. We'll see...

It is not a question if Ole Miss is great, it is a question if they can play well enough for 1 game to beat the Cocks. Here are the things to keep in mind...

#1 Ole Miss was picked to finish last in conference this season, right now they are sitting in the top half of the SEC in conference play.

#2 Ole Miss is coached by Matt Insell who is the son of Rick Insell who has been making MTSU a top program with for ages. Blue Raiders had the #1 or #2 pick in the WNBA draft a few years ago. They are off the media radar but plenty of top teams have been upset by them in the past. As for Matt himself, he has a pretty impressive WBB education.

a) MTSU grad while his dad was coaching there
b) UT grad that worked under Pat Summit
c) Several years of AAU coaching of top AAU programs
d) Worked at La Tech as director of basketball operations : FWIW, La Tech was a power for the young folks on this board
e) Assistant Coach @ Kentucky under Matthew Mitchell and help them get to 3 Elite Eights in 5 years
f) Head Coach @ Ole Miss

#3 Non conference loses
a) Middle Tennessee State by 6 points to his dad
b) @ Western Kentucky at Diddle, and it is not like the Hilltoppers have bad basketball. I have been to Diddle and home folks make some noise.
c) #3 Baylor

#4 SEC home record (3-1)
W Arkansas, beat Hogs by 14 points
W Alabama, beat Tide by 14 points
W Georgia, beat UGA by 3 points
L Mississippi State, lost by 2 points

#5 SEC road record (1-2)
L Kentucky, lost by 6 points
W Florida, won by 7 points
L Texas A&M, lost by 9 points

I have been around both Matt and his dad for quite some time. The game is at Ole Miss so it could be a blowout but it would also not surprise me if he pulled the upset.
