Yep, those comments from the Baltimore Sun article sounds bad for Cody...

In the 1 1/2 years that Cody lived in our neighborhood, we never saw him tend to the dogs, spend any time with them, feed them, train them, walk them. They never left the small back yard. They lived outside in their own filth in all weather. They were sliding in feces on the deck. These were presa canarios, (the Animal Control officer called them "pit bulls on steroids"}, dogs that are bred for fighting, need to be socialized early to be safe around people, taken for long walks to decrease their aggression, and trained. None of this was done. The children were warned away from his property. There was not much else we could do. I don't think he meant to be cruel at all. Just didn't know. But he probably shouldn't be allowed to own dogs. I don't know why his dog died in this instance, but this was the experience in our neighborhood. So I was not surprised and sad to see this story.

I can believe this, unhappily. Mr. Cody lived in our development for about a year and had pit bulls and other dogs in the small back yard that were not cared for. The worst of it was that he never cleaned up after the dogs and their excrement was left until it covered the yard and deck. It became a unimaginable health hazard and various agencies were called in to try to deal with it to little effect. We were all happy when he moved.
both were from the same person. It sounds more like he's not a POS animal abuser, just a dumbass.

This really doesn't surprise me at all. I mean, I love Cody like everyone else, but let's be honest, he's never come off as Mr. Responsible.
