Depends on if they get someone that can recruit.

If so, then they will probably be alright. If not, then well.....the drop is steep.

I think South Carolina would be a really good fit for either Muschamp or Kirby. Recruit like crazy, hire a solid OC and they'd win 8-10 games a year or better if either ends up being good/turning a corner. Gotta have a guy who can sign kids from the Carolinas and grab a few from Atlanta and Florida and you will have enough players to compete.

I'd have a bad feeling they'd let Spurrier tell them who to hire and lord knows where that would go.

There are other factors to consider. The state of South Carolina has one of better economies in the south, and around the country. That means the state will grow as people continue move in to find jobs.

Some of those families moving in will bring in kids that might have been stars in their previous state.

South Carolina is already a great state to recruit in, and it's going to get better.
