I dont think Meyer's in the top 10.
But they arent asking for my or your opinion. We are talking about the perception here my friend. Meyer being a favorite at ESPN isnt helping Nick with this either.
Im just stating Nick blew it and he knows it. Texas opens up and u turn it down? Nick will have to explain this one in the book, but u know how he lies.
Hell Harbaugh almost made the same mistake but he gathered himself. U know those Michigan, Texas, Ohio State, Gump and USCw jobs dont open up everyday.

Are you serious? Your rambling sounds like you believe what you're saying rather than just want to troll, but a 60+ year old coach with 3 national titles in 7 years at his current top-tier school turning down a rebuilding project at another top-tier school is "blowing it"? That's a bizarre perspective.

You are exactly right. Unless you've rebuilt athletic programs, businesses, etc. before, you have no clue how totally demanding a job it is and how much it takes out of you. I know because that was my job for years until I got my own business and had to turn it around. Coach Saban has done it several times, too and at 60+ years of age, you don't want any part of it, unless you feel that you have to. If you haven't done it, you just don't know.

U guys are taking me wrong. Great respect for the program and Saban as a coach.
As far as Texas goes, I did think Nick would leave for sure. He shouldve. Alabama must be special to miss that easy march to the top.
Nick is a great coach and if all he had to do was coach and recruit representing one of these 5 schools,no one would beat him. But theres more to it than that and if he wasnt at Alabama these weaknesses would be more prevalent. Good coaching, #1 recruiting classes and best tradition is a tough nut to crack anytime anywhere.
He may be the best ever, but he wont win as many as Meyer moving forward.
