I know we say this a lot, but next year might finally be a down year for Alabama.

Don't get me wrong, they'll still be good. Win 10 games, most likely. And the future is very bright, considering they are in the process of one of the best recruiting classes ever.

However, new quarterback and a lot of new coaches. The offense will probably take a step back without Kiffin.

I think it would be fair for them not to be picked to win the West next year. I bet Auburn is the media's pick.

Saban must have had enough of him. That's the only reason anyone ever leaves his staff.

if Kiffin leaves you can be sure it will be with Saban's blessing. Or either Saban told him he needed to start looking around.

I don't get it. Last year Kiffin joining Bama was going to ruin the program. Now his leaving will destroy the program. Someone please explain.

Meh, I won't miss him particularly.

He did a better job than I thought he would, but he did plenty of dumb stuff too.

He tries to be too clever in his play calling. When it works you look like a genius, when it doesn't you ask "Why the hell were we doing that?"

He called plays like he had Peyton Manning at QB.

Regardless, like I said, he did much better than I thought. I thought he'd be a disaster and he did at least a very good job.

Plus, him leaving should not come as a surprise. It was clear his time at Bama was going to be very short.

He was either going to do well and move on to something else, or do badly and get fired, all in a 1 or 2 years.
