As a former teammate of his growing up with Shockwave, this video about made me cry. What a great symbolism he personifies and a true ambassador for the NCAA, Alabama, his team, friend and family. Miss you, John. #NeverForget

you're kinda 2 months late on this... BUT as a former bama swimmer i've never been more proud of a teammate in my life. i can only imagine as someone who grew up with him how you must feel. i made it to my first bama meet (at UF) in well over a decade that season, and i hope he was one of the kids i got to meet and talk to. maybe he swam in the lane i was timing. this story could get posted every day and i would never grow tired of reading it. thanks for sharing this again, but with a personal touch and
