It's not really that.
It's just that we go through the same thing every single off season. Every year there is something new that makes LSU fans feel like they're unbeatable the following season. New OC, new young talented QB, new DC, new position coach, big name RB, or whatever else.

We definitely have our share of blind optimists. There will always been someone who thinks we're going to win the SEC every year.

You make it sound like we're the only school that gets excited...I mean WTF? Have you not seen Tenn, A&M, and Arky fans do the same recently? Maybe LSU's is more pronounced given this is an LSU site. And you helped with this with your pro-Steele post on the Tiger Rant.
