Tags in TN, where I live, are like $50.

Tags in MS, where my wife's car is registered because it was a gift from her parents, are $700.... Again.

They refuse to let us have the title transferred and make the payments ourselves because it's a gift. Yet, we pay for the tags etc.... I'm past the point of annoyed.

It's one of the several reasons I quit buying newer vehicles in MS.

Another primary reason is because many of the drivers here don't have insurance and like to run into you, forcing you to make a claim on your own insurance, thus jacking up your premiums.

I got sick of it after having 2 new trucks wrecked by deadbeats in a matter of 4 years, and bought an old truck. Tag is $70. Would be $30 if it wasn't a wildlife tag.

Wait, wait, wait. Let me get this straight.

You would rather pay the note each month, AND pay for a cheaper tag, than pay for a more expensive tag, once a year?
