Barnhill was tougher in my opinion. 10,000 fans right on top of the court. Small building, no place for the sound to go.

I do remember sitting in the stands in Feb. 1991, however, when UNLV with Johnson, Augmon, et. al. shut our asses up. Wow.

That's the way Hearnes was. IMO some of the newer arenas take away from the atmosphere because they're built like NBA arenas.

Even better in the Robken days. That place would explode when Robken would start his routine.

I also think Barnhill was tougher. I was there when we demolished Missouri for the grand opening of Bud Walton and can remember thinking that I already preferred Barnhill.
