Does CJM return UF to the top of the sec east? Anyone feel like they fricked up and could have done better? The gator fans are kind of flying under the radar.

I think they could have done better but they've never shot for the stars from what I remember. They hired a really good staff so I expect them to move up.

I think it's potentially a great hire. The risk with some of these unproven coaches is that they can bust like Muschamp. McElwain was successful at CSU, so he at least has some HC experience.

Best case: he revitalizes the offense and gets us to the SEC championship game every couple of years.

Worst case: see last 3 years.

I'm not convinced he's the right guy. Doesn't scare me as the fan of a team that plays UF every year.

He's very shaky to get that kind of gig. Better than hiring Smart like some dumb school will do in the next five years, but that isn't saying much.

He is a good coach. I don't like it. CSU has lots of talent headed to the draft and will get more players drafter than a few of the lower SEC schools. He can recruit and knows what he is doing. It might take a few years but Florida will compete under him

Solid hire, IMO. They needed to go with a coach that has an O philosophy.

Good hire. I hope he gets them back in the mix.

Anyone was an upgrade from Muschamp.

CJM is sitting on a recruiting gold mine so he should compete soon.

It was a meh hire, but meh hires who know how to use the state of Florida to their advantage can do big things.

Solid hire. Results talk and time will tell but the Gators went and got a great coach rather than make a splash with a sexy hire.

I really respect the move....can't believe I just said that.
