In no way, shape, or form would taking a Florida defensive coordinator in any fashion be a lateral move from basically the same position at Mississippi State.

I agree. I'm talking about the co-DC thing. Is it worth it if it isn't his defense, or he's not calling the sets?

Eh, DC at State > co-DC at Florida. Better chance to prove yourself. That's assuming Shannon's title isn't in name only though

DC at UF is better than DC at MSU, but DC at State is better than co-DC at UF.

Again,..why is the job different at Florida? What makes it different? Different regimen? Different rules? Why is it different than at OM or State.
