If LSU really wanted him, a mere $400K or so would not have been a deal breaker. CLM's staff has consistently been one of the highest paid staffs in the SEC & in the country. There has been several posts in other threads that an issue has/had been simmering, in house, the past 2 + yrs over how much many long hrs some members of the coaching staff has been putting in recruiting, whereas a few others were just mailing it in in comparison. Chief has never been a recruiter & detested having to go on the road. So he didn't. FWIW.
