Well, it's never too early to talk about the depth chart

Obviously very subject to change, but I'll give it a shot as of now (how I see it week 1)
QB: Coker- Bateman- Cornwell
RB: Henry- *Drake- Jones- Tenpenny- *Scarbrough
FB/H: Clarke- Flournoy Smith
WR: Sims- Foster- Falkins
WR: *Stewart- Ridley- Kief
WR: Black- Stewart- Charlot
TE: Howard- Greene- TFS- Faciane
LT: Robinson- Jackson
LG: Bozeman- Pierschbacher
C: Kelley- Hassenauer
RG: Taylor- Casher
RT: Hill- Cotton
DE: Pettway- Hand
DT: Robinson- Liner
DT: Reed- Frazier- Lake
DE: Allen- Tomlinson
OLB: Devall- Evans- Miller
ILB: Ragland- Foster- Lee
ILB: SDH- Foster- Lee
OLB: Anderson- Williams
CB: Jones- Jackson- Smith
CB: Brown- Sylve- Humphrey
FS: G. Smith- Washington- Thompson
SS: Jones- Harrison- Cook
* denotes a "hybrid" guy that may be 3rd or 4th on the depth chart but he'll play in different spots situationally. Drake, Stewart, Scarbrough, TFS are hybrid guys that will learn more than one spot.
Defensively the thing that sticks out to me is lack of experience at safety, and the potential depth issue at ILB. Eddie Jackson and Geno Smith would be my starters at safety, but we'll see if Jackson makes the switch. We are much deeper at corner with some guys that have played a lot of ball. As physical as Jackson is, he may be better served at safety anyway. I think that "experiment" is going to depend on the progression of Brown, Humphrey, and Smith. Smith would be another candidate to make the switch. I feel pretty certain that a corner on campus will be at safety in the spring. Help is on the way but Thompson, SBB, Anderson, Harrison will all be true freshmen (wouldn't be surprised to see Harrison get PT being an EE)
I think QB, OL, and the secondary are going to be the battles to watch this offseason. We're talented in every spot, but we know the most talented guy doesn't always play. I'm curious to see how it plays out, we will make every attempt to get the best players on the field, and I think that will require some shuffling. Your thoughts?
This isn't my version of how I want the depth chart to look as much as it is how I predict it will look, particularly in the secondary and at LB

QB: Coker- Bateman- Cornwell
Agreed.
quote:
RB: Henry- *Drake- Jones- Tenpenny- *Scarbrough
I think Scarbrough ends up over Tenpenny, but I agree other than that.
quote:
FB/H: Clarke- Flournoy Smith
Clark*, but yeah I agree if the Clark to FB rumor is true.
quote:
TE: Howard- Greene- TFS- Faciane
Look out for Hale Hentges to make some noise. Idk where he'll be on the depth chart, but he's good.
quote:
LT: Robinson- Jackson
Dom Jackson isn't a LT. He's a RG or RT, imo.
quote:
LG: Bozeman- Pierschbacher
I don't know how it WILL end up, but I like Casher at LG. He doesn't fit as well at RG (though he could play it, obviously) as he's a smaller, athletic guy rather than a powerful guy. Put him at LG for pass pro and pull him. Grant Hill and Alphonse Taylor are also options here.

Kelly*, and agree.
quote:
RG: Taylor- Casher
I think this could be Taylor, but Dom Jackson fits best at RG. Not sure I like his pass pro at RT. Grant Hill also an option here. As is Lester Cotton.

RT: Hill- Cotton
Agreed.
quote:
DE: Pettway- Hand
DT: Robinson- Liner
DT: Reed- Frazier- Lake
DE: Allen- Tomlinson
Agree with all of this.
quote:
OLB: Devall- Evans- Miller
ILB: Ragland- Foster- Lee
ILB: SDH- Foster- Lee
OLB: Anderson- Williams
Technically Evans is a Jack and Miller is a Sam, though both could easily play either. I think it'll end up being Devall/Anderson as the OLBs, but I think Evans needs to start. We need his athleticism on the field as much as possible.
At ILB, I think Ragland/Foster will be the guys, and then SDH or Adonis Thomas could come in on third down.
quote:
CB: Jones- Jackson- Smith
CB: Brown- Sylve- Humphrey
FS: G. Smith- Washington- Thompson
SS: Jones- Harrison- Cook
Agreed, for the most part. I think it looks like that, though we have options.
I like Jackson at Star in that lineup. I wouldn't mind seeing Jackson at Safety and Marlon Humphrey at Star. The other Safety could be Geno, and Hootie could be the Money.

Need more bodies at the ILB position as well as safety. Having that kind of depth is key for a championship season. Adding some extra Offensive and defensive linemen as well as corners never hurts either. Deeper we are the better.
With that being said, are we bringing in any ILBs, Safety's, Olinemen/D linemen in our 2015 class? Haven't been keeping up with recruiting at all
