Yee Chinese as someone mentioned is great
Kenny Seafood for great poboys
Not much to do in Slidell, I know I live there. I would venture to Magazine st in N.O. or Oak st. The quarter will be a mess this week with New Years and the bowl game.

quote:trident pretty much sums it up. Young's is really good, but is pretty much the only "nice" restaurant in Slidell. Southside is solid for food and drinks.

If I were him, I'd try to park close to the dome and take a cab uptown or to the warehouse district if he wants to be a little closer to it all.
