Should definitely be a 15 yard penalty. The ejection penalty is harsh though. Maybe one warning and then ejection would be better?
I do understand the desire to make the game safer. It's a tough balancing act.

Agreed, an ejection is overkill.

Shouldn't be a 15 yard penalty, he broke up a pass.
