Nothing wrong with your take. You obviously have experience there. I do take issue with the idiots who have gone once for Mardi Gras and never left the Quarter, but think they know everything.

I've been to uptown and some of those jazz clubs outside of bourbon full of hipsters and odd white people. It was cool. Although I wouldn't want to go back.
