New Orleans is easy access to a lot of protestant areas of the country and thus attracts people who'd like to let their hair down for a weekend without judgement. This ends up in Billy Bob pissing or shitting himself then putting his sack on an 18 year old's face. Then they run back to their redneck shitholes and complain about smell and drunks.
Precisely. Teabagger, jumping whore who wanted to apologize to coach sabear, etc. They can't handle situations without the threat of their fire breathing pastor damning them to hell.

Damn, why are people from New Orleans so damn sensitive?

New Orleans is a great city. It's one of my favorite cities in the US, but it's not for everyone.

It does smell. Of course, so does every port city in the US -- especially those in a humid subtropical climate.

It does have "too much going on" for some people. It's a little jarring to those not used to the unique flavor of New Orleans. It's unlike any other city in the US.

And Amari is from Miami. I cannot think of another major city in the US that fits the description of "polar opposite of New Orleans" better than Miami.

Plastic versus Plaster.
New vs. Old
Jewish vs. French

Point is, you live in a great city, not everyone has to love it the way you do.
