I was hesitant at first with it because i was pretty good at punching all the stuff in on my graphing calc. Then i started using it because we had much longer annuities and such to solve. I also like being able to make a 30 year amortization chart in just a couple of minutes.
Excel also kicks arse for accounting.

I can't imagine accounting without it. Yes though, it's awesome when you get to those long problems or more complicated problems. My issues come with four or five equations that need to be simultaneously solved. I could go through by hand and eliminate variables or let excel just solve it in 3 seconds.
