Saban would have won about the same as Richt from 01-05. However, Saban would not have stayed very long once he realized that his program building philosophy was not embraced by the tight wads and penny punchers running our AD. He would have moved on to a program that would provide him with the resources he knew he needed to win NCs.

When he was at MSU, he definitely had issues with admin with the same mindset. One of the big things that he didn't like, so he left for LSU. The NFL, ultimately, was what he was shooting for. He considered going for the Bears/Giants jobs in the late 90s.
