Another element to this, and is much more the group think element, is that we are "liberal" around these parts about our Texas A&M ness. I don't mean anything political, just that the discussions here focus on what A&M is perceived to be, not just the maroon tinted world of many Aggies.
More directly, this is a place you can frankly discuss TA/247 without getting dogpiled (and probably banned) by partisans from either side. I'm not saying they're useless all the time. They're not. But there will be times when they are, like during this DC search, and people don't like to hear that. It turns into a grown-up version of console wars where you rationalize and get tribal about that thing you committed money to.

I don't take any side on TA/247 and neither of them are bad people or necessarily always wrong. You just have to know their bad habits. Hamm has a hair-trigger for posting based on extremely thin sources, which gets him scoops but often burns him (for instance, when he linked our players to that robbery). Liucci is more careful but also 100% wedded to the program and does not question or verify "official" leaks even when such things are often misdirection and sometimes (literally) unbelievable.

I like tAggyArk because people can speak their minds anywhere along the spectrum of pumping to melting at any given time. That probably because it's an LSU board so staff has no dog in the fight.

You know that both of them lurk on this board and hate the fact that they can't censor it.

Hamm answers to higher ups who want to see results. A big part of which is being first (as evidenced by his annoying habit of shouting as much on nearly every topic he tweets about) As the owner/boss, Looch has the luxury of breaking something in his time. I fall in the "distaste for both" camp, and I have always liked the freedom to laugh at their expense here with them not being able to do a single thing about it. em both
