I like downstairs where you get the full effect of the "wall o glass". They love me there because I know most of the liquor folks in KY and some of the servers are hooked on it. Expect to drop 100 for lunch for 2 and they sell Ale 8 at 4 bucks a bottle - no slaw dogs yet - an act like it is a special soft drink. Kinda foo foo but a nice place for a romantic meal when the weather is nice.

I think staying at Opryland is neat

They have all kinds of food joints in the place and more in the mall nearby.

Aloft in West End near Vandy is cool too.

Near Vandy I like Maggiano's and the place is always busy for lunch or dinner. Most everything is good and no matter what you order plan on taking part of it home as the portions are good sized. Lunch for 2 will set you back between 75 - 125 with tip included.

While you are used to that 6% expect 9.5% for food and 15% for drinks in sales tax. Also several of the places recommended run suggested tips of 18% to 22% so you think the bill is small until you add it all up.

If you really want a weekend getaway and want to be pampered then the Lowe's near Vandy is the place and it is in a good location to go either direction if you are taking Nashville in.

If you want help on some other stuff drop me a note as I don't want that info on a public board.
