Yesterday, Willis told me that he is receiving interest from Ole Miss and a possible grayshirt offer could be issued. Additionally, Willis caught a 59-yard TD pass in the North-South Mississippi All-Star game on Saturday.

I cover the Meridian area, and I believe he is the second best player I've seen this year (behind 2016 commit Daniel Crowell).

When I first started covering the area in August, and I saw Willis in practice -- he's a legit 6-foot-3, ~180-pounds, and he ran a 4.52 at MSU camp in summer of 2014 -- the guy is fluid, bends at the waist with ease for a big player (think Brandon Marshall, obviously not as thick) and makes acrobatic catch after acrobatic catch.

I thought he was good but really only worthy of the of the offers he had -- ULM and La Tech; I thought he was not nearly physical enough for SEC football.

Then, prior to a game, his coach told me that he's only 16 and he won't turn 17 until graduation day. Then it all made sense why he's not that physical; he's still just a very young kid. I was thinking he was 18-years-old.

Very respectable, great kid, and his upside is legit SEC No. 1 WR potential, all IMO of course.

Just wanted to pass along.

I appreciate the analysis and the info. One of our mods crystal balled him to us about a week ago. I was thinking he would either e a sign and place or gray shirt. But good to know about his upside
