LSU went 8-4. The Mississippi State, Auburn, and Arkansas games weren't even competitive. Alabama played their C game and barely beat LSU in Death Valley, so this is the difference between 8-4 and 9-3.

Now, let's consider that Wisconsin was dominating LSU until they lost their Heisman candidate running back to injury along with 2 starters on the front 7.

Florida dropped a touchdown pass that would have sealed LSU's defeat.

Ole Miss played a terrible game offensively, and LSU deserves most but not all of the credit for that. LSU won that game by 3.

From my observation, while LSU finished 8-4, they played more like a team anywhere from 5-7 to 9-3. Your team pulled some wins out of its arse to get to 8-4. Remove the cupcakes and unremarkable teams from your wins, and what do you have left? LSU's win over Ole Miss stands as their only win over a team that was actually good. Wins over 3 OOC cupcakes, Wisconsin, Texas A&M, Florida, and Kentucky are hardly impressive this season.

Where is all the optimism coming from? This isn't 2005-2007 or 2010-2012 where it looked like LSU would be in the national title hunt late in the season? No, LSU has to earn that recognition back. Right now, try losing less than 2 games in a regular season for a change. Les Miles has only done that once in 10 attempts.

Sunshine pumpers/delusional LSU fans, pump on.

Thank you for your interest in our program.

We had a lot to do with this Bama "C" game you speak of. It takes a decent team to hold Bama to 10 with :50 seconds to go.

FSU barely won half their games this year, but winning is all that matters. I don't care how many we win by as long as we get the "W."

Idk you tell me. I'm not seeing ridiculous optimism outside of the occasional Rantard "2015 is our year" coping mechanism thread.

I think most LSU fans recognize our QB play is the major thing holding us back and the hope is that either Jennings improves drastically ( ) or Harris works his arse off and claims the starting job.

I fricking love this, so obsessed with LSU!! By the way the Mississippi State game, LSU had a chance to win that game. IT does not fricking matter how Miss. State handled LSU, LSU was still in the game. IF Bama would win a game like that you would be glorified. LSU has out played Bama plenty of times and not won, and Bama took the win and ran. Ya'll go to the bathroom like everyone else so get real and shut the frick up!!!!

Team is in the inaugural playoffs and the favorite to win a fourth national title in six years.

Poster decides to trash the 5th best team in the division this year.

If LSU had a QB, they'd be in the playoff.

But if my aunt had balls, CP3LSU25 would try to frick her.

Perpetuate that Wisc myth about Gordon injury. Go back and look at the Play by play log. MG carried the ball four times for zero net yards in the second half and he played the whole second half. Wisc was getting their arse kicked on offense and made that shite up after the game. They only ran the ball about 12 times in the second half and QB, MG, and Clement split thoses carries and none of them were effective. MG made a miraculous recovery for their next game...

Mid way through the season a couple of major personnel changes were made on defense and the wah-lah! the defense was fixed. The offense was still struggling in the passing game but the running game was very good. LSU does not expect to lose much to graduation and/or draft like the other schools in the division. Therefore the expectation that the QB play will be improved is the major hurdle for LSU to improve next year but the expectation is there.
