It took 3 weeks since Muschamp was fired and there is already legal trouble for the Gators. Treon Harris was driving a car with two freshman defensive backs. He did not have a license and according to records, he has never owned a license. They found two bags of pot in the car but were not charged because the car did not belong to any of the three players. Harris will go to court on January 15th and the charges are expected to be dropped when he finishes the process of obtaining a driver's license.

Mac already knows the formula for success at Florida. Let the players get into any legal trouble they want as long as they win games.

And he was supposed to be our answer at QB? Doesn't seem that he makes wise decisions, on or off the field. Time for the new coach to make his first tough decision on what kind of players we need at UF.

This isn't FSU. Although the sarcastic barb was well picked up.

So are we officially counting this arrest on Mac or can we safely say it was on Muschamp?

Can't spell FSU without UF.

I would be more concerned about the two bags of weed, that the NVDL ticket. Uf UF had any integrity, they would have immediately drug tested him and dealt with the results of that test. My guess is that he would be positive.

The other question is Whose car was it? Is it tied to the football team in any way. Common practice for drug dealers in florida is to use a rental car when you are moving product. That way if you get caught, the car isn't seized by the cops. Also, just like this, it is more difficult to tie drugs/guns to the occupants in the car.

I made huge drug bust on a guy last year and we found a kilo of powder Cocaine and a loaded Glock under the seat. The stupid Grand Jury would not indict him because his finger prints were not on the drugs or the gun. He walked.

I wonder how well the 3 bags of pot not belonging to anyone in the car excuse would work for non-football players.

So.. moral of the story is -- drive someone else's car without a license while transporting pot and you can't get in trouble.

Never had a license? Lawds have mercy. I can understand driving on a suspended one that can happen without you knowing it because minor tickets may go to the wrong address etc. But this one is pretty dumb.

I'm surprised he escaped the marijuana charge tho - that wouldn't happen here -- not in Knoxville anyway. Doesn't matter whose car it is - if you're driving it you're charged with possession of it, and considered to be in possession of it, there's even a term for that (although right now the legal term escapes me). That said, we need to legalize that shite.
