This is a different era in football. No longer can Notre Dame, Ohio st, penn st or Michigan be consistent powers. The top players every year are all in the south or west.
Years back they could lure top talent away by promising them playing on tv. Everyone can promise that today. Football is played year long in the south. It seems the game has passed the northeast and midwest by.

Listening to the gum bumpers talking about what Michigan is offering, I was stunned. Michigan doesn't allow JUCO guys. They don't have a private jet for their coaches to recruit. They have one of the smallest support staffs in D I. It's no wonder Michigan has fallen so far. They have been trying to live off of their name............and it isn't working.

Wrong
Oregon and Ohio State are powerhouses regardless of what the SEC thinks. Michigan can absolutely be a powerhouse with the right coach.
