You should also be the thankful Tebow changed his mind at the last minute to got to UF. I firmly believe Shula would have been there at minimum 2 more years, probably more.

100% agree. There were multiple games/instances of things like that were a coin flip that if they had gone the other way Shula gets another year

- Tebow recruitment
- 2005 LSU game
- 2006 Arkansas game
- 2006 MSU game

Any of those things go the other way and Shula gets another year and Saban either stays in Miami or takes another college job and who knows where we are today. We go 11-1 (even with a loss to Auburn) and go to the SECCG and then a BCS game in 2005 and Shula is not fired in 2006. We beat Arkansas or MSU and go 7-5 in 2006 Shula is not fired. I firmly believe all of that.
