Kinda like that in Knoxville, the only way to get "cited" is getting an MIP (what Jalen got). Any other underage drinking violation (open container, public intox, etc.) gets you a trip straight to Knox County Jail. Jalen admitted to drinking that night when UTPD asked (that came out today) but he was also in a private space - his dorm room. Also, remember the party? Most of those players were merely cited for underage consumption by KCSO.

Citations for underage drinkers 18 and above happen all the freaking time on campus and in the city of Knoxville and Knox Co. UTPD (which is associated w/KPD) is the worst for that.

UTPD/KPD used to be better about this shite but they love busting students these days because they know mom and dad will pay up. And nowadays, KPD is anti-alcohol for everyone (they used to turn their heads a lot more on gamedays but they need the money). They're still pretty lenient on gamedays about open containers outside but not like they used to be in the 90s.
