If we are discussing incoming running backs, I am pretty psyched about Kerryon Johnson. MVP of Alabama-Mississippi all star game. I am certainly not a coach, but I have never understood the people who don't think he can play running back in college. Definitely has the elusiveness and athleticism for it. Also brings a lot of versatility himself with his ability to catch the ball

A lot of people said the same thing about Mark Barron. I coached Mark when he was in HS. Mark played RB and S for us. Could have played RB for Alabama but had better upside at safety. Just because a guy is a hell of a RB (and Kerryon is a hell of a RB) doesn't mean he can't be elite at multiple positions. It will just come down to how he comes out and plays more comfortably. Saban allowed Barron to play out both positions to start. ArDarius Stewart started out at Safety and he currently plays slot and outside receiver for Alabama.
