Think the Tigers and Tide play themselves a bit of defense? Still think the '11 versions were the two most talented college defenses of this era with '01 Miami, '03 LSU and '09 'Bama not far behind. Not sure that '06 Gator defense ranks statistically but they were awesome.

LSU's defense was meant to outmaneuver, outrun, and run circles around other teams' offenses. An insane secondary made that team great.

Alabama's was built to crush teams and slowly squeeze the life out of them as the game went on. Alabama's linebackers is what made that team great.

Honest question: what were the averages before the Bama/LSU BCS game? I mean, obviously the numbers won't change too much spread out over 13 games, but I have to think they were a tiny bit closer prior to the last game.

There will be a 30 for 30 on the squad's 2 matchup that year. Count on it.
