Strong at The University of Texas has sent one QB to the NFL in his brief HC career, Bridgewater is doing alright starting for the Vikings.

Patterson at TCU prepared Andy Dalton to start for the Bengals for several years now.

Bryles at Baylor gave Washington a great QB pre-injury to the Redskins.

Sumlin set up Keenum and JFF to fail by not teaching them how to learn a playbook, read defense, call audibles, take snaps from center, etc.

So if you were a QB prospect* from Texas who had interest from the typical programs that rely on Texas recruits, like the Texas schools and OU, where would you go/send your kid if they wanted to some day have a career in the NFL?

*Its already known the elite Texas QBs end up at elite schools outside of those who rely on Texas for recruits like Bama, UGA, FSU, etc.

Lets look at the current Texas HS starting QB:

Tannehill (A&M, Miami)
Manziel (A&M, Cleveland)
Griffin (Baylor, Washington)
Stafford (Georgia, Detroit)
Luck (Stanford, Indianapolis)
McCown (Sam Houston, Tampa)
Brees (Purdue, New Orleans)
Foles (Arizona, Philadelphia)
Dalton (TCU, Cincinnati)

Only see one college with 2 names on that list...

Johnny Manziel is a failure after his first start?

This is a bad thread.

As much as I hate aggy and enjoy ripping on them, you're statelment about aggy Qb's not being prepared because Sumlin doesn't use a playbook is straight baylor hypocrisy. I remember rg3 or maybe it was one of your wide receivers stating that he was struggling to adapt to the NFL because briles playbook was only like a page long. You're a dumbass dale

And Boykin probably comes out this year. If Stidham is looking to stay in state, and A&M is not in the running, he should look at TCU. Patterson is one of the best coaches in the Big 12 (and, if he were at any school that gets press, he would be considered one of the best in all of CFB).

LSU ! #1 QB recruit went to LSU and caught a pass today for 23 yards... That's a lot more yardage than Johnny Football and ditto Heisman partner RG3 got as Tx High School QBs... !!
