Scott was hurt all year. I agree he is not better than Hurd or Kamara but he is a very good guy to have in your program as a 3rd RB. Much better than Reid or Bruce or Love or whoever imo. All 3 of these losses hurt from a depth perspective.
If he was ok with being the 3rd back, then great but he's obviously not so it is what it is. I just have a hard time seeing Scott taking away carries from Hurd or Kamara.
Losing Hendrix really sucks but there's not much you can do when he wants more PT and there's a freshman AA in front of him.
Helm would've been nice to keep but I think we will be alright with Wolf and Ellis. Seems like Helm needs to adjust to the real world if he's truly transferring because of Butch's cursing.

On Hendrix, from someone on VQ.
quote:
Went to the FLA game with seats provided by a current player and sat next to the Hendrix family. His uncle and cousin were right next to me and all they did was bitch and moan about the lack of his playing time. On top of that they just trashed maggit and repeatedly bashed him for lack of production and to "quit jumping up and down and make a play". They went on to say how Dwayne should have been starting over him from day 1. Unfortunately these are the type of people he has in his ear that instead of telling him to hang in there and work hard, are saying you should be starting etc.....big problem with freshman these days.

If that's true, good riddance.

Not good when family feels entitlement...the locker room can go south quick.
Not everyone is a fit for D1 football and some folks just are made to drive delivery trucks.

If that's true then that's a pretty dumbass gripe on many levels. Not only is Maggitt a great player but pulling Maggitt would not have put Hendrix on the field more. If you're going to complain about PT and trash someone else at least aim your whines and trash talk at the correct position.

That gif wasn't funny in the other thread either.

It wasn't meant to be funny. Sometimes the truth hurts Shaft

It also didn't make sense, idiot.

You are so lost in Vol-la-land that you can't see the truth if it jumped up and bit you in the arse!
How much you want to bet that next year there will be another exodus of Vol freshman who "self-process"?

You can't promise the moon and not deliver.
That's what guys like Butch do.
He's snake oil salesmen.
It works, but the pitch loses its power when it gets exposed for what it is.
He was able to make big promises to lots of high end recruits because he was flipping the program, really soon he'll have to prove he can recruit without that ace up his sleeve.

What the hell are you talking about? Hendrix got playing time and was told the same thing everyone else is told. If you earn it, you'll play. Barnett turned out to be a super-star in the making so Hendrix decided to go elsewhere. I don't blame him. He got beat out by a once in a blue moon type player who happens to be in his same class. He'd have gotten even more PT next year but apparently he didn't want to be in Barnett's shadow - again can't say I blame him given how big that shadow is.
The fantasies y'all are coming up with are hilarious though. I'll give you that much.

You're as stupid as the other idiot. Did you see how many freshmen contributed this year? UT had 3 on the SEC all freshman team. Tied for most in the league.
I guess that's why we're gonna have a top 5 class.
Try harder
