That's from what? 2009-ish? UK has since had on the roster Anthony Davis, John Wall, Demarcus Cousins, Michael Kidd-Gilchrist, Eric Bledsoe, among others.
3 of those guys are among the 50 best NBA players of all time. The other was 2x 1st team all American and 2x SEC player of the year.

Umm, Anthony Davis' early season PER is better than Wilt Chamberlain's right now.
As far as Pete Maravich, he never beat UK at LSU. Largely because of the presence of a player who could fill up the bucket just as much in Dan Issel but wasn't stuck as a one man show on UK's roster.
