How are they going to see them at the complex though? Have some staff member hang around all day/night?

If Malzahn told the players not to go, they would be taking a pretty big gamble by going anyway. The parties are obviously going to be at night and primarily from Thursday-Saturday. You could send a staff member to check around those times. It doesn't have to be every week. Just often enough that the players know it is possible that somebody could check. I would also hope some leaders of the team would also tell the coaches. If you don't have anyone who would tell, then you have recruited the wrong players

Snitches get stitches. Seriously though, I'm not snitching on a teammate / friend for going to a damn party. It's college you're supposed to have a good time.

What about non-athlete Auburn students? Who watches out for them?

I believe, according to players, Tanner had Five Points as off limits for his baseball team.
