It seems some of these kids have a hard time leaving their past behind when they go off to college. Considering that Mitchell was from Opelika I think it's fair to assume that he was thoroughly familiar with the area which implies that he probably knew the killers. These guys were probably just loser thugs with no life and took some sort of satisfaction out of killing an AU football player that was trying to make something of himself. I mean, sure, it might have been "over a girl" or something, but I doubt that was really the root of the problem.

I don't think it's a coincidence that football players were killed in both of these incidents at this complex. That's kind of what happens when you move up in life but continue to hang around with your old loser "thug life" friends that have no future other than prison. Jealousy ensues and you make yourself a target to these scum bags. I have seen it myself.

This should be a lesson to all future athletes (anywhere) who were raised in tough neighborhoods. Leave that trash behind you. You owe them nothing. There's tons of great people who are actually students (or fellow athletes) that have class and wont shoot you over an argument.

Also, women aren't that special. There's zero reason to get into an argument with another dude over one. They just aren't worth it. Ho's will be ho's.

I wouldn't be shocked if there are new rules about not going there anymore.

After 2 events like this, anyone who goes there is foolish.

Athletes need to understand that they are a target for not only women, but thugs who want to take them on to show how bad they are. Athletes need to consider not going to events where thugs are often present. It is not worth it. Talk to a girl- get killed over words.
