A young man with promise lost his life, and the discussion here has deteriorated into a debate over the merits of Tuskegee and the apartment complex. Here's an idea: why not wait until the facts are out before passing judgment? I feel terrible for the kid's family and what they must be going through this morning. Can you imagine getting that call?

You right.

We can discuss the dangers of overbuilding, Section 8 and how Auburn can arrest a disturbing trend another day.

Sorry the kid lost his life. Sorry when anyone loses his or her life.

We know what happened. He was killed at a party consisting primarily of young black people. For whatever reason, carrying guns to social gatherings has become a prominent aspect of black culture. When I lived in Auburn, a building in my apartment complex was hit by a stray bullet from some idiot. I don't know why we have to use so many code words around here. It doesn't make one a racist to say black people instead of "section 8 thugs from Tuskeegee."
