fact is that Texas will not be down forever and A&Ms window for actually winning is closing with each season

Yep
They were gift wrapped the state and control of the state for years to come by Mack Brown and Sumlin couldn't finish better than 4th in his own division in the 3 years that Texas was down.
Window is closed shut and Mack decommitting will nail the window down when he's on his way out.

Its not just Texas that might be a problem for the Aggies.
TCU and Baylor are recruiting well already in 2016.
