See, you assume the game or season would have gone the same way if AJ had been here. It wouldn't. Why would AJ have to make those big first downs when he would likely have found a RB or WR to get them for him. Are you saying he can't read a defense or dump the ball off to a RB? Blake ran because he had to run.
For frick's sake, to hear some of you talk our Heisman candidate, 2 time national champion was grossly inferior to a guy who couldn't crack the starting lineup for five years.
Blake has turned into a good QB and has made the most of his talent and skill set, but AJ is a vastly superior QB in nearly every phase of the game.

Did I say AJ couldn't read a defense? And who's saying AJ is inferior to Blake?

You say this, but how is he so vastly superior? Sims can pretty much make any throw McCarron can make, and has better mobility.

Who the hell even implied this? Don't get so over-defensive.
The way I see it...
Pocket presence: Pretty much a wash.
Extending the play: Blake. This is where his pocket presence pays off more for him than it did for AJ. AJ would save a sack by throwing it away (which was the right decision for him), but Sims, a lot of times, would turn a would-be sack into a first down.
Passing Consistency: AJ
Clutch: It's pretty much a tie, but tie goes to the one with a larger body of work, AJ.
Deep Ball: Pretty close, but I'm going to go with Blake. He doesn't throw as many as AJ did, but he seems to be more on target than AJ was. Pretty much a wash though.
Reading Defense: I don't think Blake is bad at it like some think, but AJ takes the cake here.
Legs: Blake. The fact that Blake was a threat to run kept defenses honest and he made them pay when they didn't account for him, or for when they cheated off their man.
Leadership: Blake. AJ wasn't a bad leader, but Sims is one of the best leaders we've ever had at QB in my opinion.
Who is the better QB prospect? I think it was and is AJ. He has more of the tools needed at the next level. Having said that Blake's work ethic is legendary, and I wouldn't dismiss him at the next level.
Who was the better college QB? Tough call, and one I'm not going to make. They've both done extraordinary jobs, and I personally don't care to make that judgement call. They're different guys, but they are two of the best Alabama QBs of all time.
Full disclosure: I haven't ever enjoyed watching an Alabama QB play like I've enjoyed watching Sims play. Something about seeing the underdog 5th year senior succeeding and shocking the nation just gave me chills. The way he just shook off his mistakes was truly amazing. I love how he shutup the majority of our fan base and made their jaws drop. Regardless of what happens in the playoffs, he's my all-time favorite Alabama player.
