Blake throws a better deep ball and is better at escaping a pass rush, IMO.

Escaping pass rush yes, better deep ball NO... I love Sims and he has been a pleasant surprise but he won't get drafted and there is a reason for that. Sims has benefited greatly from Kiffin and a SUPREMELY talented Amari Cooper. That can't be underestimated.. AJ is one of the best Bama QB's of all time and was a Heisman trophy finalist. If he had Kiffin as his coordinator and was allowed to play more wide open, he could have put up even better numbers.

IMO Sims zones in on Cooper(perhaps that is by design) but AJ seemed to spread out the wealth a little better.

Again I'm not knocking Sims, he has probably won a few games for us and is a good QB but AJ is much better.

Disagree.

AJ had Cooper for two years. Kiffin sets the plays up, sure, but he isn't the one throwing the ball.

Blake would've been a Heisman finalist last year too.

I mean, I guess, but AJ threw it plenty last year and in 2012. There still is no way to know that.

I just don't buy this. Numbers don't prove this. Really the only argument I see is that Blake had a different OC than McCarron.

Blakes deep ball is a hell of a lot better than AJ's and it's not even close. Go back and look at the throws if you don't believe it. Recievers usually had to slow up and wait for the ball with AJ giving the DB time to recover. Most of Blakes deep balls have been so pretty the recievers never have to break stride.
