i love waffle house but i have never been sober enough to remember anything interesting that has happened there.
a late night favorite in high school and when home for the holidays/summer while in college. only place open at 3 am.
more options open at that time in athens, but still went to waffle house relatively often.
all star breakfast for me. get the eggs scrambled, choose bacon over ham and sausage, hashbrowns over grits, and you also get a waffle and some texas toast.
ETA: i just remembered a time in PCB on spring break when the wait at waffle house was like an hour so me and some friends just went in there, asked people for their leftovers, and got more than enough to eat doing that. also got paid $3 each to do it because some idiots thought it was gross.

however, the most awesome breakfast places in Springfield, MO area are:
1) Aunt Martha's Pancake House
2) Gailey's
3) Billy Gail's (Table Rock Lake, Branson, MO)
