I figured I'd start a comprehensive thread for all of the other High School Football enthusiasts on the board.

Should be a good weekend for some football in the Dome..

AAAAAA

Archer 11-3, #1 Seed Region 8
vs.
Colquitt County 14-0, #1 Seed Region 1

-It will be interesting if Rush Propst can capture his first Georgia State Title with an unbeaten squad out of loaded Region 1

-Meanwhile, Archer has won its last 3 PLAYOFF games with a combined score of 164-33

-Players to watch:

Archer-
Kyle Davis, 4 star WR/ATH, class of 2016 , USCe Commit (For now...)
Connor Redmond, 4 Star TE, class of 2015, USCe Commit
Dylan Singleton, 3 Star S, class of 2016

Colquitt-
TJ Smith, 3 Star DE, Class of 2015, Vandy Commit
Kiel Pollard, 3 Star WR, Class of 2016
Bull Barge, LB, Class of 2015
Sihiem King, 3 Star RB, Class of 2015

AAAAA

Mays 12-2, #3 Seed Region 6
vs.
Northside, Warner Robins 13-1, #1 Seed Region 2

-Mays took down K9's beloved (and very good) Ware County Gators in the second round and haven't looked back. Georgia Commit Natrez Patrick headlines the squad

-Northside is looking for that elusive state title after coming close multiple times...is this the year?

-Players to Watch:

Mays-
Natrez Patrick, 4 Star LB/DE, Class of 2015 UGA Commit
Dallas Warmack, 4 Star OL, Class of 2015, Bama Commit
Randrecous Davis (yes, seriously), 4 Star WR, Class of 2016
Tobias Little, 3 Star LB, Class of 2016

Northside-
Brandon Sandifer, 3 Star OL, Class of 2015 Florida Commit
Willie Jordan, 3 Star Rb, Class of 2015 W Kentucky Commit

AAAA

Buford #1 Seed, Region 8
vs.
St. Pius #1 Seed, Region 6

-Well, not a whole lot to say about this one. Buford University probably wins again..

Players to Watch:

Buford-
Issac Nauta, 5 Star TE, Class of 2016
Joshua Thomas, 3 Star RB, Class of 2015
Austin Smith, 3 Star LB, Class of 2015 Tenn Commit
Quay Picou, 3 Star DL, Class of 2015 Tenn Commit
Nick Polino, 3 Star OL, Class of 2015 UNC Commit
...and more. Buford stays loaded

St. Pius-
A bunch of white dudes...solid players but none that are rated nationally

AAA

Washington County 14-0, #1 Seed, Region 3
vs.
Calhoun, 14-0 #1 Seed, Region 6

-This ought to be a hell of a game. 2 unbeaten teams that haven't had much trouble with anyone they've come across this year.

-WaCo is having a great year and Calhoun is a machine...Washington County's Defense is one of the best in the state, while Calhoun has their spread attack that can put up points

-Players to Watch:

WaCo-
AJ Gray, 3 Star ATH, Class of 2015 Ga Tech Commit
Logan Hunt, 3 star LB, Class of 2015 Ga Southerm Commit

Calhoun-
Landon Rice, 3 Star TE, Class of 2016
Kaelan Riley, QB, Class of 2016

AA

Benedectine 12-2, #2 Seed Region 2
vs.
Greater Atlanta Christian 14-0, #1 Seed Region 6

-A rematch of Week 1 when these teams met and GAC took the W, 24-21

-GAC has our bright and shiny new commit Darius Slayton starring the show

Players to Watch:

GAC-
Darius Slayton, 4 Star WR/ATH, Class of 2015 UGA Commit
Micah Abernathy, 4 Star DB, Class of 2015 Tenn Commit
Tyler Cooksey, 3 Star LB, Class of 2015 Ga Tech Commit

- I don't know shite about this game / teams...sorry haha

A (Private)

Eagles Landing Christian 7-6, 4th Seed
vs.
Mt. Paran Christian 13-0, 3rd Seed

-Another Rematch of Week 1, where Mt. Paran beat ELCA 31-14

-Don't be fooled by ELCA's record, their losses came to Mt. Paran and higher classification teams. They haven't lost since Week 7

-Mt. Paran has a player that Rusty Mansell from 247 has been harping on for a while named Dorian Walker that could be headed to an SEC school

-Players to Watch:

Mt. Paran-
Dorian Walker, 3 Star ATH, Class of 2015

ELCA-
Nick Dawson, 3 Star DE, Class of 2015

*Feel free to throw some knowledge my way on some of these teams or players to watch...I don't know a ton about some of them

GAC is fast. They have a great running back. They beat my hometown last week 44-41 in a dog fight.

Irwin has a running back that is really good. He also plays DB. He is a small guy but he carries that team. If you are going to beat Irwin you have to shut him down.

I'll fully admit to being a grouch/a-hole, but seven "state champions" seems excessive to me. Do we really need six classifications plus a private school classification in single A?

Seems like it waters down a state title somewhat.

Benedictine- none of note

Okay homer. How did that state baseball championship work for GAC last year?

Our "players of little note" lost on the road by three. You might want to adjust your lack of respect for a state championship level team that hails from a school of only 340 students.

And on that note - may the best team win...

MPC is the real deal, and I'm not just saying this because I graduated from there in May

Speaking as a someone who has watched our offense...I have no fricking clue what we are gonna do next. It is titled as "Single Wing" but that shite as so many different looks it confuses a high school level defense to no ends. Luckily for ELCA they will be seeing it for the 2nd time. Seeing it twice in one season has proven successful as it helped Trion improve the score against last year when we played them twice, the 1st being closer to a blowout, and the 2nd being a grind out win.

Our defense is nasty as shite. We have a defensive end committed to Air Force and our secondary is getting looks from major D1 Colleges. And our DC is one genius son of a bitch.

My key player to watch is Emoni WIllaims #6 the WR/ATH/DB what he lacks in size he makes up for in explosiveness, field vision, and pure instinct.

Best GACS team probably ever. Lot of kids from my time and before wanna crow that we were better units but they actually have a good coach now and they have some absolute studs. Slayton is as good as advertised, Abernathy is pretty filthy in his own right, and their QB is a quick riser and will make noise by the time he graduates.

Benedictine about to be made a fool on GPB.

And onward to the dome for my Hawgs. While I appreciate you starting this thread, please see below.

Colquitt-
TJ Smith, 3 Star DE, Class of 2015, Vandy Commit
Kiel Pollard, 3 Star WR, Class of 2016
Bull Barge, LB, Class of 2015

You omitted our running back, the 1AAAAAA player of the year, Sihiem King.

Note in the first playoff game he ran for 150 yards and 4 TDs. In the first half. On 5 carries.

The video link may give you new perspective.

Archer is red hot. If we play well, and really we haven't so far in the playoffs, we should FINALLY bring it home.

King
