He acted exactly the way that Saban was acting in 2011 BEFORE the BCS pairings. Alabama had only beaten 3 ranked opponents all year and finished 2nd in their division and 3rd in their conference and Saban was BEGGING for a do over all because they had the best lost, even though it was at home. It was sad. He was doing all of this over Oklahoma State who won their conference and have a MUCH tougher and more impressive schedule. You liked it then.

I don't blame Briles at all. If I were in the Big 12, between this and what happened in. 2011, I would be furious. Maybe he is just making the case for next year and this is his chance to show the injustice? Like Auburn/SEC did in 2004? At any rate he can say what he wants and an Alabama fan griping about a coach whining/lobbying is the height of irony.

What choice does Baylor have? Leave for another conference? Lol

That's bullshite, and you know it. Have you heard Briles' interviews?

At what point did Saban sound anything like that?

I don't recall Saban talking about where everyone is going to be buried.

Because a holly bush and a California redwood are comparable on the basis that both are plants.

"It should be the two best teams" = begging. 21-0 melt continues after 3 years 10 months and 30 days

Everyone expects coaches to lobby for their team- that is part of their job. But if you think Saban in '11 is exactly like Briles in '14 you are a fricking moron.

I was actually on Briles' side at first, but calling Bowlsby out publicly like that is just busch league. Regardless of the 'one true champion' nonsense, everyone knew how the Big12 picked their conference champs going into the season. The commish is a pawn to the member schools- Bowlsby didn't dream up their fricked up system himself like Briles would have you believe. If the various Big12 members request to eliminate the 'co-champions' I'm sure they would get that. Waiting until after the season to make this extremely public and damaging complaint makes Briles look an a-hole. In his silence until the end of the season, he was complicit in their system. All that said, I have found the whole thing hilarious to observe.
