with their post playoff melt. Of course when your head coach acts like a bitch the fans will follow suit.
The out of conference schedule was full fledged sissy. No other way to spin it.

And the AD fully admitting they will not upgrade it.

I really like Bryce Petty though, guy is good.

Every coach begs or whines when things don't go their way. Saban did a little of that plus campaigning in 2011. C'est la vie

Well, you'd be melting as well if you finished 5th.
That being said, they should be mad at their own conference. That co champion BS really hurt them IMO.

OOC schedule killed them. And the OOC schedule has been something that was mentioned by the committee from the get go.

Nobody on the committee understands the type of football they play in that part of the country??? (Art Briles)
Jeff Long is the AD of Arkansas and Tom Osborne is on the committee. If Baylor wants to look like a Mountain West team, they get treated like one.

He acted exactly the way that Saban was acting in 2011 BEFORE the BCS pairings. Alabama had only beaten 3 ranked opponents all year and finished 2nd in their division and 3rd in their conference and Saban was BEGGING for a do over all because they had the best lost, even though it was at home. It was sad. He was doing all of this over Oklahoma State who won their conference and have a MUCH tougher and more impressive schedule. You liked it then.
I don't blame Briles at all. If I were in the Big 12, between this and what happened in. 2011, I would be furious. Maybe he is just making the case for next year and this is his chance to show the injustice? Like Auburn/SEC did in 2004? At any rate he can say what he wants and an Alabama fan griping about a coach whining/lobbying is the height of irony.

If it was Alabama, you bet your arse they'd be in that playoff.
Baylor has a very good point. They are a CFB have-not and they just got fricked.

Yep, Bama would handle being in that situation with straight class.

To be fair, think of the melt from SEC fans had a 1-loss team not made the playoffs over a team who will be playing their 3rd string QB. Baylor or TCU deserved to be in over Ohio St.

Baylor fans are a bunch of New Money bitches, it is known. They still whine like they are the pissing mat of the Big 12.

Yeah, TCU took it well and like actual champions when they got bumped 3 points. Baylor just turned into a bunch of raging pussies over it.

The whole "we play everyone" mantra about the Big 12 falls apart when you look at who "everybody" is. 3 teams with losing records...and TCU and Baylor, because they don't have divisional play, is guaranteed to play each one of them every year. By comparison, OSU only had two conference games vs. teams with losing records. So the 9th conference game kills their strength of schedule. Not having divisional play ensures that you get to play every shitty team in your conference...and there aren't enough good teams in the conference to compensate for a shitty OOC schedule...and Baylor failed to take care of that. In contrast, Alabama played zero SEC teams with losing schedules.
And this issue has its roots in Austin...and Waco, by extension. Texas treats aTm, Missouri, and Nebraska like poor stepchildren for long enough, so they leave the conference. If those teams were still there, there would have been a Big 12 championship game last weekend. And TCU and Baylor would have had Nebraska, Missouri, and aTm on their schedules. So they can blame Texas, and Baylor can blame themselves for following along. Granted, TCU came along afterwards.

They have a pretty solid argument.

What are you talking about? Briles said they had to play AT Buffalo on a short week. It was black out day at Buffalo and they had their largest crowd ever. Yes, tongue in cheek.

They've always acted like ignorant little brats. Screw them. I was hoping TCU would make it in so their fanbase would go david Koresh on eachother

I quit being a Baylor fan when they played that tall black guy on the girls' team and passed him off as female in order to win the NC.
