They had a very strong argument for getting into the playoff. The VT loss was bad but very early with a green offensive line and a new QB. They then went on to collect wins @Sparty and @Minnesota in the snow. Then blew the doors off a top 15 Wisconsin with a heisman candidate running back. He's paid to have an opinion and share it and it's not like it was a ridiculous one.

Plus all of ESPN was beating the Ohio State drum. Ratings.
