I ask because Blake is an improvement over McCarron

I don't think blake is an improvement over McCarron. Blake makes alot of great plays with both his arm and his legs, he has also made a lot of mistakes. McCarron was more consistent, made less mistakes, and was better at reading defenses IMO. But, blake can make plays with his legs, is pretty consistent (especially as the year has gone on), and is decent at reading defenses... But blake has also had a LOT of help from amari cooper...

I really like Blake Sims, probably more than McCarron because of what he overcame to earn the starting job, but he will never make it in NFL and probably won't even get drafted... there is a reason for that.

Just going on the basis of one season, Blake is better. Sure, the numbers bear this out but looking beyond the numbers, Blake is a better passer especially of the deep ball. Blake seems to have a knack of always hitting a receiver in stride. I remember a lot of deep balls from AJ where the receiver had to wait for the ball giving the DB the chance to tackle the receiver.

Aside from the Auburn game, Blake's mistakes have been minimal and that's a big reason why he never lost his job.

I think McCarron needed one of the greatest offensive lines in college football history to be a great player. If McCarron was playing behind your offensive line this season he'd look like he looked his last season at Bama - a liability when facing a team with speedy pass rushers.
