Missouri doesn't belong in the SEC

Yet here we are.

We're the cousin you grew up never knowing. Now that we're all grown up, we have a new relationship, but we're still getting to know each other.

Missouri was a slave state, had a confederate government, contributed up to 90,000 troops for the CSA and was one of the top three states in the Civil War for number of battles shedding our blood on our soil. Missouri was one of the true states where brother battled brother and family battled family. Missouri paid an awful price, just like other southern states.

But even if none of that were true, we're still a part of the SEC, and I will always root for any SEC team to beat anybody outside the conference.

Actually, between 40,000 to 50,000 to the CSA. More than 100,000 to the Union. I am not re-fighting the war, though my great-grandfather, a lieutenant, was killed by a Yankee sniper at Petersburg, Va. But lets be accurate. By the way, of all the Northern states, Indiana committed the most troops to the South, more than 200,000.
