Question for Alabama/Missouri fans.

If you are staying in Atlanta, are the hotels requiring a three night minimum? Are the motels on the outer perimeter demanding a three night stay (Marta access)?

I have been to six Sugar Bowls. I think the first place I stayed was in was in Algiers. It was a dump, but if you are a 20 year old college student, who cares. Three night minimum.

Next time we stayed in Metairie. Step up, but still just a chain hotel. Three night minimum.

Finally able to afford some of the boutique hotels near the French Quarter. How in the hell can a hotel smell of mildew in January?

I like New Orleans, partied hard, ate good, but it has become ridiculous with the Hotel upcharges.

Atlanta is a much larger city. I'm sure hotels near the dome require three night minimums, but with Marta you can stay miles away.

Supply and demand, Atlanta can handle a large influx without insisting on a three night minimum.
