The conference has outgrown using the Georgia Dome as a single location.

You now have 3 teams west of the Mississippi River in your conference. You've had Yankees in your championship game for 2 straight years, and who knows when, if ever, that streak will end.

The ATL is just not the right permanent venue anymore.

Time so start thinking Nashville, N'awlins, Houston, etc.

I know there's some degree of tradition associated with playing it in the ATL. But when you add expansion teams, by definition they don't give a frick about tradition cuz they weren't part of it. You wanted to cover a larger geographic area. You do now. Gotta take advantage of that. Move that shite around, SEC. Your heart will say no. But use your head. You know what to do.

A permanent championship game in Atlanta sucks. It's incredibly illogical. The SEC asked for this when they added Arkansas, Missouri, and Texas A&M. The game must rotate.

I'd be fine with Nashville

New Orleans is the best city in America for a sporting event so yes.

Houston is completely outside the SEC. It's gotta be at least somewhat centrally located. Check the map.

Atlanta does a great job.

The only other place they should/would ever have it is New Orleans.

ATL is centrally located with a huge airport. Sucks it's so far from CoMo, Fayetteville, BR, and CS but it makes sense for it to be there. Although New Orleans would probably be a much better fan experience, it'll never happen.

Go back to the Big12. You've been here 3 seasons and you think you can make suggestions to accommodate to the pledge?

I think it's a matter of convenience now, mostly. They have the contract, a reliable (and well-maintained) venue, and it's pretty easy for most of the fanbases of the traditional powers -- UT, UGA, UF, AU, UA (I would add LSU, but they weren't exactly a power when the game moved permanently to Atlanta) -- to reach with an easy drive.

It would be nice to see the game rotate to places like Nashville or New Orleans, though. Houston, on the other hand, seems a bit too far away from every team except TAMU. I accept TAMU as a legitimate SEC program. I will never accept Texas as a legitimate SEC state, however.

Also, I thought it was four teams west of the Mississippi.

I say "Nawlins" and I'm from the Delta region, Vicksburg to be precise.

It should be moved to a cool city like Nashville, Memphis, Jacksonville or that court that Michael Jordan was chained to on Moron Mountain.

I'd only be bitching if Georgia were there every year because it's like a home game for them. Then again, Mark Richt always chokes when he's there for some reason, anyway.
