He will be announced either Friday or Saturday - in an attempt to grab as much media attention as possible prior to the SEC Championship game featuring Alabama.

Same thing happened in 2012 with what was a "huge hire" in Ellis Johnson. The timing is intentional.

I think he needs to go as far as way from orange and blue as possible...he's failed in that get up. Oh and Alabama's offense gives him fits as seen in this years game.

What is wrong with gaining attention?

It might help with recruiting and certainly cannot hurt. How much do you want to bet the announcers bring it up at some point during the game if a decision has been made?
